Beautiful Beatrix Potter handmade book bag, featuring the original hardcover from the much-loved children's book 'The Complete Adventures of Peter Rabbit.'
Beatrix Potter is one of the most renowned children's book authors and illustrators - also known for championing environmental causes and protecting local wildlife and habitats. And who can forget dear little Peter Rabbit? He's a children's book icon!
This is a bespoke handbag that would suit a teen, tween or adult - it is a truly one-of-a-kind creation! The handbag has a gold-toned chain, black lining and also features a zip pocket, where you can safely store cards, cash. The zipper and shoulder chain are gold -toned - the shoulder chain measures 60cms in length and can be easily detached so you can mix it up and carry with you.
This is an upcycled clutch - which has been especially hand picked to complement the gold and yellow tones of the book cover. Due to the slim dimensions of the book, you will be able to store a coin purse, phone, cards and cash only. Alternatively , you could also use it store a thin writing/drawing notepad or pen and write or draw your own children's story!

Your book clutch has been handmade with love from my studio on the Central Coast of NSW. All books are sourced from second hand stores and pre-loved shops – so no new or unread books are damaged.
Clutches ( unless specified in the description above) are also sourced from pre-loved stores and are upcycled – part of the art of making a book clutch involves searching for clutches and purses that match the colour, theme and dimensions of the book. The manuscripts of books are then reused for art projects, book sculptures and scrap booking, so nothing goes to waste.
My business philosophy is to recycle and reuse – and to ultimately transform unloved books into wearable pieces of art for book fans to enjoy. I hope you enjoy your book clutch and get as much satisfaction from showing it off as I do making them.
